He is the author or coauthor of several books, including, The Cruciform church: Becoming a Cross-Shaped People in a Secular World and Participating in God's Life: Two Crossroads for Churches of Christ. He and his wife, Holly, have delivered lecturers and conducted seminars for pastors and missionaries in various parts of the world. They live in Southern California.
